CONGRATULATIONS. YOU HAVE A SEXY STOMACH.
I really feel we all need to start loving our bodies, lumps, bumps, curves and all. It's hard I know, but the sooner we start doing it the better we will begin to feel within ourselves.
We've all been affected by the world around us in social media, magazines, TV, etc. It's completely normal and okay to have bad body-image days, but beating yourself up over it will only make you feel worse.
Body positivity is about unlearning the idea that only certain bodies are worth acceptance and praise, and instead recognising that ALL bodies are equally valuable.
It's deciding what feels good and healthy for you personally. It's understanding that you deserve to live in your body without receiving judgement from others!
You can start to work on this by being kind to yourself and owning the body that you were given. Instead of calling yourself names when you're trying clothes on - send yourself love and positivity. Be proud of every part of you.
Even if you don't believe it yet. By saying out loud positive statements to yourself - it will help to teach your subconscious these things. And in turn (with time and patience) your beliefs will change.
You can find people on social media that preach body confidence and positivity. Filling your newsfeed up with people like that will immediately fill you with strength over comparison and negativity.
Find books and blogs on body confidence. People talk about this every day, all over the world. These people are daily reminders for you to feel great and be happy in the body you're in.
I like scrolling through the Pick Me Ups section of this site - it just helps me take the power back from the harsh words that Negative Nancy is telling me and re-affirm my self worth.
