Caribbean Prawns

6 Minute Caribbean Prawns. Super quick, packs a punch though!

Serves: 2 (easily doubled) Time: 6 minutes



  • 150g pack raw peeled king prawns

  • 1 ½ tbsp jerk seasoning

  • 400g can kidney beans in chilli sauce

  • 250g pouch of microwave rice - Merchant Gourmet are nice


  1. Heat 1 tbsp of olive oil in a large frying pan. Add the prawns and the jerk seasoning, and cook for 1-2 mins. Drain the kidney beans, reserving 3 tbsp of the chilli sauce (reserve more if you like it hotter).

  2. Add the beans to the pan along with the reserved sauce and the packet rice. Fry for 3-4 mins, then spoon into two bowls to serve.

  3. Super easy and quick!
