20 Minute Honey Walnut Prawns. Another great date night dish to wow your guest!
Serves: 2 (easily doubled) Time: 20 minutes
Ingredients
50ml Water
20g Sugar
20g Walnuts
230g King Prawns
Veg Oil
1 Egg, beaten
50g Cornflour
30g Mayo
1 Tablespoon Honey
1 Tablespoon Double Cream
Green Salad Of Your Choice
2 Spring Onion Stalks, chopped finely
Method
In a small saucepan, add water, and sugar. Bring to a boil then add the walnuts allowing it to bubble for 3 mins. Then remove the walnuts and let them cool.
Pat the prawns dry with tissue and season well.
Next put the eggs and cornflour in separate bowls then dip the prawns in the eggs first then the cornflour, coating well.
Heat 1 inch of veg oil in a large non-stick pan over high heat, fry the prawns in batches, until fully cooked and golden in colour.
Next mix the mayonnaise, cream and honey then toss the prawns in the sauce.
Serve the prawns on top of a bed of green salad and spring onions sprinkled on top!
