25 Minute Korean Steak Night. Perfect for a date night dinner, so many flavours!
Serves: 2 Time: 25 minutes
Ingredients
120g Tenderstem Broccoli, trimmed
1⁄2 Red Chili, sliced (optional)
1 Garlic Clove, minced
1 Teaspoon Olive Oil
200g Carrots, grated
1 Pack Of Microwavable Rice
2 Tablespoons Of Sesame Oil
2 Tablespoons Of Tamari
2 Teaspoons Black Sesame Seeds
2 Teaspoons Of Honey
2 x 150g Flat Iron Steak, seasoned
1 Tablespoon Fresh Ginger, grated
Method
Heat a frying pan with half a teaspoon of olive oil, over medium heat. Add the broccoli and cook for around 4 mins, until tender. Remove and set aside when done.
Wipe the pan clean, and add the remaining olive oil. When hot, cook the steaks to your liking. Once done, remove, cover and set aside.
In the same pan, add the rice, splash of water, half of the sesame oil, and half of the black sesame seeds. Cook, stirring constantly until the rice is soft.
Next, in a small bowl, add the tamari, the remaining sesame oil, chili, honey, ginger, garlic and another splash of water to thin the dressing a little. Mix well and then add to the same pan as the rice, toss and heat through for 4 mins.
When fully heated, slice the steak and add it to the same pan, along with any juices on the plate. Once ready, divide between bowls, add the grated carrot, sprinkle over the remaining black sesame seeds, serve and enjoy!
