Meat-Free Chilli

20 Minute Meat-Free Chilli. Perfect for a cold day, full of flavour and no meat!

Serves: 4 Time: 20 minutes



  • 2 Cans of Red Kidney Beans

  • 2 Red Onions, diced

  • 80g Meat-Free Mince

  • 240g Green Beans, trimmed (or more if you like)

  • 2 Garlic Cloves, minced

  • 2 Tablespoons of Soy Sauce

  • 1 Vegetable Stock, dissolved in 350ml of boiled water

  • 4 Teaspoons of Cumin Seeds

  • 2 Packs of Microwavable Brown Rice

  • 80g Cheddar Cheese, grated

  • 4 Teaspoons Smoked Paprika

  • 2 Teaspoons Chilli Flakes


  1. Dissolve the stock in boiling water, then add the mince to the liquid and set aside for later.

  2. Heat a large non-stick pan over high heat, add oil, when hot add the paprika, cumin seeds and chilli flakes, mix constantly until nice and fragrant. Then add onion and garlic and saute until soft.

  3. Increase the heat then add the mince and stock. Increase the heat at this stage and cook for 2 mins more. Next add the kidney beans and soy to the mince and bring everything to a boil. Cooking until the sauce thickens.

  4. Meanwhile heat the rice according to the package instructions, and boil the greens in a small pan of boiling water.

  5. Once everything is ready, divide everything between bowls, top with cheese and enjoy!
