Negative Thoughts

An average person has about 12,000 to 60,000 thoughts per day. Of those, 80% are negative and 95% are repetitive thoughts.

Pretty shit percentage right?!

I know my mindset was absolutely SHOCKING 4 years ago. My self-talk was so negative I literally didn't have one nice thing to say about myself.

And this started from the moment I opened my eyes, to going back to sleep again.

I’d feel tired and not want to get up. Scroll on my phone for as long as I could, comparing my life with everyone - and before I had even got out of bed.

Working two jobs at a time, having a daughter I barely had time to think of myself.

Not the best way to start the day.

But I could have, and this is what I started to realise.

If I had just spent 10 minutes to take myself away from the negative and do something for my self-care it would have helped so much.

Whether that was listening to a positive podcast or audiobook, reading a book on mindset, meditating or just blasting music out and dancing around the kitchen!

It made me feel good!

So I invite you to take a look at your day. What times do you have 10 minutes, even 5 minutes spare?

The commute to and from work? In the bath or shower? While you cook for your family? Or even 10 minutes after you wake up or just before you go to sleep?

Finding those pockets of time will be key for us busy ladies out there that are juggling a million things at once.

Check out the Guided Meditation within this site or you can Google mindset audiobooks and see what tickles your fancy!
