Smokey Carbonara

20 Minute Smokey Carbonara. Vegetarian carbonara, creamy pasta with lentils. Yum!

Serves: 4 Time: 20 minutes



  • 4 Tablespoons Creme Fraiche

  • 80g Cheese, finely grated

  • 6 Whole Sun-Dried Tomatoes, finely chopped

  • 300g Spaghetti

  • 200g Cooked Puy Lentils

  • 2 Teaspoons Smoked Paprika

  • Small Bunch Of Fresh basil, chopped (optional)


  1. Cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions. Drain (reserving a little water) and return to the pot.

  2. Add the creme fraiche, tomatoes, lentils, paprika and cheese, then return to the heat, cook until the cheese has melted, around 2 mins. Add the reserved pasta water if you think it needs it.

  3. Mix well and season with salt and pepper.

  4. Once everything has melted, top with fresh basil, serve and enjoy!
