Speedy Turkey Spag Bol

25 Minute Speedy Turkey Spag Bol. Spaghetti Bolognese made with lean turkey mince, super quick version, great for a weeknight meal for all the family, or for batch cooking.

Serves: 6 Time: 25 minutes



  • 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil

  • 500g Turkey Mince

  • 1 Onion, diced

  • 1 Garlic Clove, crushed

  • 2 Carrots, diced

  • 1 Red Pepper, diced

  • 2 x 400g cans Chopped Tomatoes

  • 1 Teaspoon Oregano or Mixed Herbs

  • 1 Veg Stock Cube

  • 2 Teaspoon Cornflour mixed with 1 tablespoon cold water

  • Spaghetti, 100g per person

  • Fresh Basil Leaves to serve


  1. Heat the oil in a large saucepan over a gentle heat. Add the mince and cook for 3 minutes, stirring to break up the mince.

  2. Stir in the onion and garlic and cook for 2 minutes. Add the carrots and pepper and cook with the mince for 5 minutes, stirring regularly, until beginning to soften.

  3. Throw the tomatoes into the pan, sprinkle with herbs and crumble in the stock cube, Bring to the boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally until the vegetables are just cooked and the mince is tender.

  4. Stir in the cornflour mixture and cook for a few seconds until the sauce is thickened.

  5. Serve with cooked spaghetti, garnished with basil leaves and a side salad if you like.
