Steak Gyros

10 Minute Steak Gyros. Ideal for a quick weeknight meal, on the table in 10 minutes. Yum!

Serves: 4 Time: 10 minutes
Ingredients
450g Steak
1/2 Teaspoon Salt
1/2 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
1/2 Teaspoon Black Pepper
2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
80g Cucumber, shredded and skin removed
4 Tablespoons Plain / Greek Yogurt
1 Red Onion, sliced
2 Teaspoons Dill (optional)
2 Lemons, juiced
4 Flatbread or Pita
2 Tomatoes, sliced
Extra green salad for serving
Method
Heat a griddle pan to medium-high heat with half the olive oil.
Season the steak with half of the salt, half of the garlic powder, and half of the black pepper.
Cook the steak on both sides for a few minutes, until your liking. Once done, leave to rest for 5 minutes, before cutting into thin slices.
Place shredded cucumber in paper towels and gently squeeze out the water. Then add to a bowl with the remaining salt, garlic powder, black pepper, and the yogurt.
Combine the onion, dill, oil, and lemon juice in a bowl and toss to coat.
Divide steak evenly among flatbread/pita top each with 1 tablespoon yogurt mixture, the onion mixture, tomato slices and extra salad on the side.
