30 Minute Sticky Pork + Fries. So easy, great for a weeknight speedy dinner.

Serves: 4 Time: 30 minutes
Fresh Ingredients
1 Cucumber, halved, inside scraped out, sliced thin
600g Pork Steaks, fat trimmed
2 White Potatoes, cut into wedges or fries
Cupboard Ingredients
1 Red Chilli, sliced (optional)
Thumb-sized Piece Fresh Root Ginger, grated
2 Teaspoons Five-Spice Mix
2 Tablespoons Honey
2 Tablespoons Rice Vinegar
3 Tablespoons Soy Sauce
1.5 Tablespoons Olive Oil
Method
Heat the oven to 220°C. Pop the potatoes onto an oven proof tray, season and drizzle 1.5 tablespoons of olive oil on top. Bake for around 25-30 mins, until crispy.
Next, add the ginger, honey, soy, and five-spice to a large bowl. Add a splash of water, mix well and marinate the pork in the sauce for a few minutes.
In a medium-sized bowl, add the cucumber, chilli and rice vinegar, set aside and allow to pickle.
Meanwhile, heat a large, non-stick pan over medium heat. When hot add the pork and cook for around 3 mins per side. Once done, transfer to a plate to rest covered.
Add the remaining marinade to the pan and cook gently for a minute or two, until the sauce thickens.
Finally, slice the pork, and serve alongside the wedges, pickled cucumber and sticky glaze drizzled over.
