Why do I use Affirmations?

I was never one to use positive affirmations. There was something about standing in front of a mirror and talking to myself just didn't feel right haha!



But, I started to realise that I always spoke to myself in my head anyway and that the majority of the time it was negative thoughts.


And that by doing that it was totally disabling my self-belief and self love.


It's only when I started to learn more about self development did I begin to understand the true power behind affirmations and gradually they became a part of my everyday life.


Daily affirmations are designed to alter the beliefs about ourselves so we think more positively about ourselves. They are said to be like the psychological immune system. When something knocks you down, you can use your affirmation to pick you back up.


“Where energy goes, energy flows”


Have you ever noticed that when you worry about something that much it usually ends up coming true?


I truly believe that our thoughts create our actions and our actions create our reality. If we’re constantly inundating ourselves with negative thoughts, we will take negative actions (or lack of action) and this will be the reality we live in.


That’s not to say that we all must live in a state of disillusion, but we also don’t need to punish ourselves with every single thought we have.


You can use the Rosie daily affirmations in this app or you can create/find one that really resonates with you and make it your own. Try and keep them nearby so you have little reminders of them throughout your day.


So any time you feel like your mind is cluttered, you feel unmotivated or stressed you can draw upon the affirmation for that little bit of extra reassurance and support.


Make sure to make it a daily habit and say them out loud to yourself every morning. A nice little pep talk for the day ahead.


You might feel silly the first few times, but if you want to stop the inner critic chatter and learn to really love and see yourself in a more positive way - then affirmations are the way!
