King Prawn Paella

20 Minute King Prawn Paella. Perfect for a summers weekday evening, beautiful flavours!

Serves: 4 Time: 20 minutes


Fresh Ingredients

  • 350g Raw Peeled King Prawns

  • 1 Lemon, wedges

  • 2 Red Peppers, cut into strips

  • Small Bunch Parsley, chopped

Other Ingredients

  • 2 Teaspoons Ground Turmeric

  • 4 Teaspoons Smoked Paprika

  • 1 Vegetable Stock Cube

  • 260g Basmati Rice

  • 2 Tablespoons Tomato Paste

  • 2 Brown Onions, cut into strips

  • 2 Garlic Cloves, minced


  1. Heat a large, non-stick pan with 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the peppers, onions and garlic and sauté for 10 mins.

  2. Add the turmeric, paprika and tomato paste. Cook for 1 min more then add the prawns.

  3. Next add the rice and mix well. Followed by 700ml of cold water. Bring everything to a boil then crumble in the stock cube mixing well. Reduce the heat and simmer for 10 more minutes. Until the liquid is absorbed.

  4. Once ready, stir in the parsley and the juice of one lemon. Serve the paella with any extra parsley and lemon wedges on the side!
