What or who is holding you back?

You’ve decided to lose weight and achieve your goals.

Great.

You also decided this 6 months ago? 2 years ago? 5 years ago? Maybe even all 3?

So why hasn’t it happened yet?

Chances are you’ve got something holding you back. Maybe it’s a thing, maybe it’s a person.

Is it you?

Everyone has goals they want to achieve, but we often don’t act on them because we don’t push ourselves to actually go through with them.

What if I told you a few tips and tricks to go through with these goals, and finally release you from whatever is holding you back?

Interested?

Yes? Then keep reading.

Tip number 1: Recognise your thoughts and gain perspective on them.

When a thought pops into your head, don’t take it at face value, question it, ask yourself if it is a valid thought or a complete disillusion.

Are you telling yourself you can’t lose weight because the journey is too far? Don’t accept that and let it stop you in your weight loss journey.

We don’t plan a holiday abroad and cancel at the last minute because the journey is too far, so why do we do that with our weight loss journey?

Weight loss is a journey, and we need to take small steps to achieve our big goal. Make small changes, tell yourself “yes, the journey might be long, but I’m not going to get anywhere if I don’t take small steps at a time”.

Tip number 2: Break bad habits and build new ones

This is tough, habits are habits for a reason.

The key to breaking and building habits is consistency. Let me tell you, the first few weeks will SUCK.

BUT..

After the initial few weeks, you would have broken or gained a habit, and now they’re just built into or eliminated into your life without even thinking about it.

Say you want to exercise more.

Set yourself a goal of going on a walk during your lunch break.

Sure, at first it’s going to be odd as it is a break of routine. However, after a few weeks you’ll naturally find yourself going on your lunchtime walk.

Tip 3: Be true to yourself

9 out of 10 times, the thing holding us back is ourselves.

Our thoughts are very powerful, and can be used for good and bad.

If we are putting ourselves down, fight back, nobody including yourself has the right to put you down.

We are all worthy.

When we do something negative, account for it and tell yourself not to do it again because it isn’t going to be good for us in the long run.

Stick to your guns and do what is right for you, you are worth it!

Remember, these are tips and tricks you now have to go and apply. I’ve given you the knowledge, now it’s up to you to enforce them.

I believe in you!
